Skip Stewart

Gold Medal Aerobatic Stunt Pilot

Skip Stewart is one of the world’s top air show pilots, touring North, South and Central America with his 400 horsepower custom Prometheus 2 biplane. Outfitted with hand-built wings, propeller, engine and landing gear, Stewart’s “muscle biplane” is instantly recognizable to millions of air show enthusiasts.

Stewart is known for his high intensity performances in which he instantly flips his biplane into a knife edge pass after take-off. Combining the skills of both pilot and professional athlete, he withstands incredible g-forces, both positive and negative, during his energetic stunt shows. Steward holds the distinction of being the first air show pilot to fly underneath a jumping motorcycle while mid-flight between its take-off and landing ramps.

Skip Stewart wears the Sopwith Aero Marquis Nieuport 28 Limited Edition GMT watch.

Jack Aces Aerobatic Team

Flying original P-51 Mustangs in precision formations of WWII fighter aircraft

Louis Horschel and Ariel Luedi pilot two of the finest examples of World War II P-51 fighters still in existence. Their air show performances feature precision formation flying while executing spectacular aerobatic maneuvers at aviation events across North America.

Horschel’s “Mad Max” P-51 leads the two-man team in his Cavalier Mustang, released from Air National Guard duty in the late 1950’s before being refurbished for use on the civilian market. Luedi joins him in close formation, flying his “Little Witch” Mustang that was originally assigned to the Royal Canadian Air Force’s 420 Squadron. Both historic airplanes feature original Merlin engines and produce an iconic sound that symbolizes mid century military aviation.

Louis Horschel wears his Sopwith Aero Marquis Focke-Wulf Fw 190 Baltic Winter Limited Edition while flying his Mustang. Ariel Luedi performs while wearing his Focke-Wulf Tunisian Desert model.

Greg Koontz

Aerobatic instructor and Super Decathlon pilot

Just a good ol’ boy from Ashville, Alabama, Greg Koontz has become one of aviation’s premier aerobatic instructors after nearly five decades in the sport. Koontz is perhaps the best known American Champion pilot in the world, putting his unmodified, Lycoming-powered Super Decathlon through all manner of aerobatics at air shows nationwide while addressing the crowd live from the cockpit as he flies.

Focused on family entertainment, Koontz truly brings back the great American barnstorming traditions of the early 20th century in a solo routine that includes outside loops, vertical rolls and inverted ribbon cutting just a few feet above the ground. It was this level of professionalism and precision that earned Koontz one of the most coveted awards in the air show industry – the Bill Barber Award for Showmanship – in 2014.

Greg wears the Sopwith Aero Marquis Thomas-Morse Scout during his air show tour performances.
